These oil paintings are in a larger format and the first in a new beach series Ms.Engstrom is working on. Her beaches will be of fantasy locations as well as recognizable spots on Fire Island, the beach that's rapidly becoming her favorite summer haunt. The unifying theme will be - stripes! - umbrellas, blankets, beach towels and windscreens - whatever catches her fancy. The paintings shown here are the first of the series and are for sale.
