Lynda Engstrom is a former model turned Art Director, Artist, Web Designer, and most recently, Stock Market Technician. She lives and works in Manhattan. She's a Pratt graduate whose artistic versatility has won her CBS Art Director Awards as well as exhibits of her Paintings and Graphics at The Aldrich Museum and fine art galleries in Palm Beach, East Hampton, Santa Monica, and New York City. After the 9/11 World Trade Center attack Lynda decided to do her part for NYC by joining the NYPD Auxiliary Police. She serves part-time with the 20th Precinct in Manhattan and has been honored with NYPD's "Auxiliary of the Year" Award. |

Lynda has been a devoted summer resident of Fire Island for many years, and shows new oils and watercolors on the island every summer. Her fine art paintings are extraordinary and can be seen and purchased right here on this website in her personal Online Art Gallery As an Art Director, Ms. Engstrom has worked for CBS, Hearst, McCalls, Redbook, Seventeen Magazine, The New York Times and The Daily News. She was one of the earliest professional Designers on the Web, putting up her first site in 1994 and later starting her own Web Design Studio, creating custom sites for private clients in her distinctly unique and personal style. She's taught HTML to children at The Dalton School and Web Design Seminars (to adults) at Charles River Computers. Ms. Engstrom has been a featured guest on Manhattan's MNN-Cable TV show "ComputerLinks" and has been interviewed on "PC Planet", a WEVD New York radio show. She has been a guest speaker on Web Design at Columbia University and a panelist at VISCOMM Expo and Seybold Seminars at the Javits Center in New York. Lynda's original "Postcards!" website is one of the few free sites on the Web with "no commercial ulterior motives". It has been cited as "refreshing" and "new and linkworthy" in the CyberTimes arts@large column of The New York Times. Lynda is a member of The World Wide Web Artists Corsortium, The New York New Media Association, and The Association of Internet Professionals. Ms. Engstrom's latest area of endeavor is Technical Analysis of the Stock Markets. She's a part-time Trader, and has found that her artist's eye gives her a unique advantage in Chart Creation and Analysis. She attends Technical Analysis Seminars at the Bloomberg Financial Center in NY with the Market Technicians Association, and is working towards CMT Certification.
