Ms.Engstrom is a dedicated beach-lover and one of her favorite place to paint is Fire Island, an unspoiled barrier reef of white sand beaches and casual barefoot communities. She works from life, using watercolors to quickly capture impressions in a rapidly changing atmosphere, where her subjects are literally there one minute and gone the next.
