This is an ongoing series of oil paintings inspired by the wonderful barefoot beach communities of Gatsby's "East Egg" - the timeless white sandy beaches of Fire Island, The Hamptons, and Long Island's South Shore. Lynda Engstrom's landscape paintings evoke the feel of Edward Hopper in her dramatic use of light to capture mood and freeze moments in time.
